Winter Carnival is February 4 - 12 and Saranac Lake will be packed with official carnival events. Full schedule can be found here, but below is a selection of a few events happening Thursday the 9th through Sunday the 12th.
In addition to the official events, we’ll also have time for winter fun such as skiing/tubing Whiteface and Pisgah, ice skating on the lakes, Lake Placid Toboggan Chute, Olympic Bobsled Experience, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or just hanging out #attheporcupine in the executive canoe lounge or the serene outdoor hottub.

From the firehouse on Broadway to LaPan Highway. Parties at bars during and after the parade.

Paul Smith's College Woodsmen's Exhibition
Watch our local college lumberjacks in the event that shows skills of speed, skill and strength.

Adirondack Bank Inner Tube Races
The "tubers" are released in groups of four, with others of their age group. Times are recorded, and the fastest tubers in their age groups receive awards. Age group competition starts from youngest group and proceeds up to the masters division. Pre-registration is available, as well as on race day. Innertubes are provided. Helmets are not, but their use is encouraged.

The Frank White Experience: Tribute to Notorious B.I.G.
The 1st of it's kind, The Frank White Experience, not only cover the music of The Notorious B.I.G. but takes their listeners on a journey through the beloved soundscape of 1990's Hip Hop, making them a guaranteed crowd pleaser sure to rock any audience in any venue, large or small.

American Management Association Torchlight Skiing & Fireworks
A popular event among the children who join together for a torchlight parade down the ski hill. An event for all ski abilities. Skiing is followed by nice display of fireworks for everyone's enjoyment.
